Moved my gar into a new home and couldn't resist showing you guys.
The move wasn't as hard as I imagined and he didn't struggle as much as I thought he would.
The water is quite stained at the moment but should clear up with water changes and time but it looks really good against the gars brown and olive hues.
I am very interested to see just how growth continues and how fast he will out grow this tank.
I didn't get a chance to measure him but I know he is at least 2ft and should be happy in the 8'x4'x28" for a while anyway.

I am starting work on my outdoor gar pond in the summer and would like any feedback from people who have some experience with suitable designs.
I was thinking 10'x8'x3'.

Solo until the temp in the tank rises, then the Saratoga will join him again.

Fair enough. I'd imagine the tems would be going in this later down the road...

All my Cichla will eventually rule that tank.

I am enjoying every minute of this.
Beautiful pics and nice vids

I have a decent sized Gator as well and just moved him into a bigger tank. It's his 5th tank :headbang2 I should post some vids as well.
