If I was not in the process myself of dropping the number of fish I have here, I'd take that Short. If you still have him floating around in a month I may take him but can't do it just now until the other various fish are moved out.

What is your zip? I am willing to pay for gas and the shortnose if we can get it here or can I pay for shipping or something. Really want one really bad and its perfect size!!

The shortnose is a fish with very special needs. He has been having feeding issues since i have had him. He will require a tank to himself at least until he starts feeding (if he starts feeding). I know you have experience with gar and i would like someone such as yourself to have him, BUT i could not guarantee he would make the journey in his current state. When i say he is FREE...there is somewhat of a catch.
That being said...if you would like to try shipping him, i may be willing to give it a shot.
I think I can take care of him well.. do you have any pics? Just want to see him first if possible. I do have a grow out tank I can house him in temporarily but want to see him make the big tank. Depending on your comfort in shipping I would like to do it cause I really want one but I only want to do it if you feel comfortable
