Hi guys I was wondering if this product is suitable for the job or not, of making a sump. If not i'll return it. I dont remember if I was suppose to use GE 1 or GE 2, i read it in a thread some time ago.

Actually there are no mixed reviews...it should not be used at all. It contains a anti fungal for humid situations such as the kitchen and bath. DS is right, you should look for and use Silicone I.

GE silicone 1 window and door.Be sure the tube does not say bioseal or mildew resistant.

GE I Window & Door is the best to use...

All "Kitchen & Bath" grade silicone contains an ammonia based anti fungal agent... this will cause excessively high ammonia spikes that take 2~3 months to go away...

GE II does say 'bioseal' and claims to be mold/mildew resistent. This is NOT because of an ammonia based agent and this will NOT cause ammonia spikes. It does contain a chemcial that has been known to interfear with the reproductive systems but it is in such low quantities it is probable not a concern at all...

If you dig through this and other sites deep enough you'll see this is a very common question and some of the threads on the topic get pretty deep and contain plenty of detail confirming what I have explained.
