Glad to hear you're getting back into rays again.. I'm tired of being one of the only ray guys up here.. Lol

i just bought mine and put her in when the wife wasnt home. lol she was pissed when she realized i had got a stingray.
today was a good day. despite having to go into work 4 hours early, i picked up my second tank and a 2900gph pump!
When i got back into rays i decided to wait it out until i could get my dream rays.. I have a Male Leo, and 2 Female Henlei.. Hopefully i can get the breeding in the near future..
It took me 2 years but i finally got them..lolIn your case i dont think the ray was the problem, i belive the kiddy pool had more to do with it

Glad you and I are both keeping black rays. I'm looking forward to putting pups out there in the NW soon! Joe are you only looking for motoro types or are you considering any black rays? I have 1 male and 2 female henlei now. It would be awesome to have another "local" guy with black rays.
i would love to keep black rays but i have to start off with what i can afford(or cant afford lol). id love a flower ray sometime in the future as well. if i could only get someone to buy or trade for my 180 id be set.
