Very much south..
Tomorrow I will start an experiment ( I hope my wife never reads this particular thread;) ).

Why: - One year ago a couple of Runner roaches escaped in my fish room. Nowadays I keep bumping on disgusting roaches on the fishroom, crwaling all over. I have never wanted to use chemicals for the reasons everybody understands. Have tried traps to no avail...

A guy I know ( who is into herps ) suggested I put in a pair of Tokay Geckos, loose in the fish room, that, so he tells me, they will take care of the problem.

I am willing to try anything at this point in time, so tomorrow I will introduce the 2 Tokays in there and hope for the best...

What say you, MFKers?:)

sounds like a sound idea but make sure they dont escape lol

id try it,just dont accidently lay ur hand on one of them lol.they are real mean

Should work. They'll probably wedge themselves behind anything you might have on/against the wall by day, then hunt those roaches down by night. They may get out though...if they do & your wife stumbles across one make sure you practice your "innocent" face hehe.

If you're not using any chemicals anyway, catch some (roaches that is). They should make decent fishfood.

This will be very interesting Miguel..but i don't know:nilly: :nilly:

One of my golden geckos got loose in my house once. Took me about a month to find it. They get big but not as big as Tokays and have a more layed back temperment. You will have to put out something for you gecko to drink out of.

It should work if they don't escape. I have done the same, but with chickens. Works like a charm

I have heard of it being done before, it probably won't wipe them out, but the Tokay's should make a dent in the population, and an interesting addition to your fishroom :P
