Gender of my fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tis a carp, sadly a shortbodied one though.

texas male-GT male - jag male- RD-idk

Can anyone tell the gender of the other fish?

Edit: the texas is male?!?!?!? There is a dark spot on the dorsal fin of the texas but you cant see it in the pic. Ill try and get a pic of the dorsal fin

yeah from the pics I would say the carpintis is male, but if it has a dark dorsal spot that isnt showing up in the pics then yeah i would go with female, GT and Jag are def males and cant tell with the RD, you will need to vent that one to be sure (and might as well vent the carpintis as well while you're at it)

and just so you know, that blood parrot is going to get killed pretty quickly by those bruisers when they get larger (im surprised they havent already taken it out)

Ill try to vent. Im going to sell the BP and maybe the GT. Thnx for sexing the fish. The BP has been with them for a few months. His/her buddy used to protect eachother but when the other BP died its growth stunted and almost never leaves the hiding place.

Jags a little younger to judge sex. I dont think thats a shortbodied carpintis, def male. Rd is male, Gt is male. Dont know about the bp or jag.

lol. I dont know how to vent. Wheres a good thread that describes how to vent? When the texas is in breeding(or fighting) dress it gets a Black spot on the dorsal fin and lightens as it calms down.
