Not to be rude or anything but just search around a little bit at other posts before you ask a general question. If you just search around you may find many answers to any questions you have.
Man, Didn't we just say something like this?
I figured out how to Sex a ray in about 15 seconds, without having to even make a post!! I used this amazing function, called the 'Search' tool!
Let me show you!
First, I searched for 'Stingray Gender'..
I then got a result, which hosted 2 threads, one of which was a HUGE information thread about stingrays. If I'm a noob, Most of my questions could be answered here, too!
Then I scrolled through the thread, as the words 'Stingray' and 'Gender' were highlighted in Red. I quickly found the section that had the word 'gender' as the first word of the paragraph!
Then, to my amazement, I found all of this information!
Gender identification is simple. Just like their relatives Sharks and marine Rays, male freshwater stingrays have claspers, one on either side of the base of the tail and slightly underneath. In sexually mature males these are easily visible from above and with immature young they can be easily seen from their underside. Females do not have claspers.
