Is that the one you believe to be a female??

no, the female one died and was bought from petsmart. I was on vacation in Virginia and saw a fish store then saw a bunch of flowerhorn and grade a which was the highest is $89, so why not buy a 4-5 inch grade a with not only? I mean better than buying $25 2-3 inch low grade at pet smart, and this size and grade in NH doesn't has it, but I live right next to Massachusetts Boston, but Boston and Malden this grade and size is mad damn expensive, around $450-500 just like on eBay, so of course I have to buy it no matter what. We bring it back with us and he stayed in the box for a 2 days car trip from Virginia back to NH (we made a few stop at my parent's friends so that why it took 2 days), but it had plenty of oxygen so it lived

And forgot to mention, I had 2 (1-2 inch) flowerhorns from petco when I got this guy, they end up getting killed and later eaten and smallowed up by this beast right in front of me. It also killed a tiger Oscar (3 inch) later

Good lookin. You got more balls than me lol. I need to find somewhere in Atlanta with fh, it's hard for me to buy a fish without seeing them in person prior.

Don't trust eBay, I posted pictures of my old flowerhorn on here, and I search up flowerhorns randomly on eBay and found my own flowerhorn, scammers using to use my pic to scam people, but check the ratings and the amount of sales to trust them.

Atlanta is a good place with a lot of local fish stores. The weather there is decent or hot, not like here in New Hampshire or Massachusetts, that why it cost so much for the flowerhorn e.e

Yes, that fish looks very stressed. Not a good time to pull it out of the water to vent to check gender. The reality is that if you dealt with a company that guarantees the gender you pick then you will be able to get a refund in a few weeks as the fish settles in and turns out to be female. Be cautious with Khoi Ta and the advise he gives. I mean no disrespect to him but he is not very reliable for knowledge on the flowerhorn species. No one should educate themselves using Youtube, because without knowing fact from fiction you end up learning a lot of information that is just all out wrong. I know you said your PH was 8.0 and water temp is 83. How about Nitrates and Nitrites? Is the tank cycled? How is the fish eating?

Yeah listen to this man, I got most of the tips from him. But some ok YouTube are experts, and some of the methods actually work. And ammonia?

You can trust the video in YouTube if they tell you a full explanation and steps by steps, and how many videos that have posted about Flowerhorns.
