just looking for some help/suggestions for my fish.

currently running a 60 gallon tank

wondering what size tank i should have, filtration, substrate, and setup : rocks, plants, wood, etc

thanks :D

If you've got a sixty, you could have delhezi or senegal bichirs. Their filtration doesn't have to be great. For substrate, you could use sand or gravel that won't be swallowed. Decorations should be available for the polys to lounge or hide in if necessary.

:iagree: I'd do lots of driftwood with some sword plants and large rocks too.

you could also do the palmas subspecies.
get around the same size.

the one i have is about a year old, 6 inches.. could i get the same one ( senegalus bichir) or would the older one be too aggressive and would i have to get a bigger tank?

normally nothing would go wrong.
however.
once in a blue moon someone gets a aggressive bichir.
if not then should be fine.
