General Turtle Info

I have only had one turlte before and its a painter that I just kinda caught and had in a tank to figure out how to take care of them. I am looking for some small sized, inexpensive turtles.

Ideas please?

DO you mean a Painted turtle, cheapest would be a Red ear Slider though they do get a good size, maybe a musk turt they stay pretty small

Yes I do mean a painted turtle. What temp would a muck want to live in? I built an amphibious tank using a bunch of virgin cork and stuff so i am looking for turtles that will want to utilize both land and water. Also, I was wanting to keep some some amphibians like fire belly toads up top. Would those co-exist ok?

As for keeping amphibs with turtles forget about it, is just a matter of time untill the turts eats them or injures them. Also fire bellis are toxic so you could lose both animals
