Ferrets are cool but they smell pretty bad and poop all over the place. Skunks are not my thing and every sugar glider that I have had bit the crap outta me. I will keep looking.

You can get them de-glandded, and litter box trained...so just like having a cat, except this one steals shiny things... :WHOA:

Question, are you able to get domesticated silver foxes? From that farm in Russia? I herd they are PUPPY DOG TAME.

I still say Ocelot.. It has both the attributes he's looking for.. Cat and an unusual pet.. Hello are these posts invisible?

Those are the ones I am looking at, it is a simple class III permit here.

Ocelots are cool but they require strict class II permits, and cost a LOT of money.

Well I honestly have no idea on prices, I heard a rumor that someone was selling one for like $400, but no hard proof of that. Sorry about the permit stuff, I'm not too familiar with FL's laws.

I just bumped into a prob for the silver foxes. It seems the Russian facility only exports neutered foxes for privates, as it wants to remain the only source of animals. I gess you could buy breeders and the rigths to breed them, but it should cost a very pretty penny. I even question if these animals are pattented.

why do the silver foxes have to come from russia, there are farms all over the place
we have a lot of wild one here because the fur farms let em go when they shut down

Im talking about a completly domesticated strain of silver foxes that are puppy tame and come in a variety of diff. colours. They even pocess some dog like caracteristics and behaviors like curlled tails and fallen ears.

I let my Ferret free roam to a point, I only allow him out to do so a few hours at at a time 2-3 times a day while I am home. I don't trust him to do so when I am out or sleeping though.
