Ok, as I was watching a storm come through last night, I wondered what am I going to do if the power goes out. I thought about the articles on here I read. Pour water into your tank about 3 feet above the top to stimulate and aerate the water, buy a battery powered air pump and so on. Well, it all of a sudden came to me. I have a CO2 system on one of my tanks. What if I got a set up like that, but use oxygen instead of CO2? Add a gange valve to run lines to alll my tanks and I can get air bubble into my tank without the need of power or batteries. Will this work? Please let me know. I know that pure oxygen is explosive but there must be a way this can be done. Any ideas?

If you're simply looking to aerate instead of injecting pure O2 then why not just use scuba or larger compressed air tanks? These hold dry filtered air. You could also use a contractors 12 volt air compressor. A compressor with a 3 to 5 gal tank would aerate a good number of tanks and can be run off of a car battery or plugged into a power point in your car.

If you do this, and your tank explodes, be sure and get pics, LOL!

How fast does my film speed need to be on my camera to get the expression on my face before I exit this planet in a rapid fashion due to severe exlosions?

But with a CO2 setup you dont even need battery power, just use a bubble counter ot difuser. Right? Perfect for power outages.

im designing a small solar/battery set up for my tanks price is at 800 and the kit will run my 45 for 2 days off battery alone but solar pannels always keep battery charged during the day im redesigning with a single system to be able to handle 6 large tanks plus my 2 snakes i figure arround 3 grand mabe 4 but ill have a thread on this later
