I will check the expiration date tomorrow, but i literally just purchased this master kit approx a year ago they dont go bad that quick do they? and i honestly can't think of any signs of IP, I would usually treat anything that i purchase that was wild caught but the manager swore they were captive bred. I just treated a new to me royal plec that was showing signs of IP (sunken stomach) and he's starting to put some size on but still an uphill battle.

My water parms are alright tho correct?
This is also my real first ever go at cichlids. In the past i was into monsters, rays, aros, pbass, big cats. But now in college i had to downsize big time from my 300,180,125 to only a 75,40b,10planted

water test exp date speaks for itself, has nothing to do with the date sold.
fish can be exposed to anything along the way.., in or outside of captivity.
keep an open mind about possible exposure history.
smaller tanks' parameters are subject to much faster parameter fluctuations than large ones.
with less space, fish population is more easily stressed by tank mates. stock the tank much lighter within their available space than in your previous big tanks...and look at species' behavioral compatibility more carefully than in huge spaces.
try to check comparative water values with where they came from in case slower acclimation may help.
