Numerous species have the black throats and black pre-opercular markings.

Nemesis is correct that these are G. winemilleri, and part of the only colony in Australia, which unfortunately no longer has a male. They are on my "must own" list of Eartheaters.

It's G. winemilleri. It's not G. brachubranchus because they have a spotted caudal fin while the one in the photo is striped. Not dicrozoster cuz the body shape is wrong and I dont see any evidence of the Y bar. G. proximus has a larger lateral spot. Thus of the common species with black throats we are only left with G. winemilleri.....I could be mistaken though cuz I'm still waking up.

For a 75g definitely stay with the smaller species like orange heads or pindare

Are the growth rates of red/orange heads real slow, or am I just mistaken?
I'm probably going to be getting these as 1 or 2" juvies...how long would it take them to grow to 4"? Weekly 50%(or 2x a week)+going to stuff them with hikari and a variety of kens stuff :D

heard these guys don't really color up until they get bigger, and most of the ones i've seen for sale are 1" fry. wouldn't be fun if i had 6 1" fish in a 75g and had to wait, say, 6 months for them to color up if I could possibly make it 4 or 5 months.
only have 2 years to enjoy fish til i go to college ;)
