saw this pair at lfs today and they didn't know what they were.

altifrons? abalios? ...thoughts?

How big are they? They do look like abalios, but the only ones I've ever seen has slightly more red. Abalios also get pretty large, so they would need to be 6 inches or so to start having trailers like the ones in the pics.

Interesting take. I thought male and female pindare look about the same, and they don't have longer trailers? These two look very different in terms of trailer length but otherwise similar.

Yes - I have sand substrate in my Gym/Geo tank. PITA to keep it clean but fun to watch.
