did u just add the sand without taking the fish out..because im thinking of adding some white sand with the black as well.....??????

I like the white sand better than the black. the black seemed to make the geos a bit darker color and their lateral lines were dark and really showing. but the hystrixs looked good on
black. I just need to get a better light though.
urboyjay682, I added the sand with the fish still in the tank. once i got the sand, i filled a 5g buck 1/4 the way and spent about a half an hour washing it out. then i took a smaller cup, scooped some out of the bucket and put it in the tank and poured it out close to the bottom. i did that till all the sand was out of the bucket.
i still need to put more sand in, but i am moving in 10 days so i am waiting till i move in to get it really filled up!

Beautiful tank. Agreed with everyone else the dims on the tank are great. I am totally jealous of your abalios. 
How many do you have? I agree on the lighter colored sand being a better choice.

I went and bought the rest of a bag they had today to try and get you the name brand. Here you go. I will NEVER buy another sand again... This stuff is where it's at. cost me $15 to get this picture lol!
