Geoohagus Red Head Tapajos growout thread

Hey guys. Thought it’d be fun to start a thread for my geophagus red head tapajos that are offspring from a pair of mine. Going to grow these out close to the way I grow out my discus with many water changes and great feedings and will see the outcome. They will be grown out in the same type of water as my discus as well with mainly RO water. I will be feeding them pellets and flakes that are made to enhance the reds in fish. I will post monthly videos and pics of youthe fish to show their progress to share what I have been doing for their feedings and water changes.

Their growth rate has actually been pretty outstanding so far. In a year they would be pretty mature looking

Why not include a few pics of the parents

I have several pairs in my 300 gallon discus and Altum angelfish display tank so not sure which pair it was. The parents are not fully mature yet either. They spawn pretty regularly in that tank so I decided I’d suck some of the babies out to grow them out. Eventually they always get eaten by other fish if they stay in the display tank
