Geophagus altifrons (surinamensis)

Just picked up 2 this evening. What do you guys think Altifron or Surinamensis ?

They are about 7+"

Nice fish! They actually like the sand more because they will be constantly filtering out the eateble stuff.

Correct, 95% percent of my tank is sand. I just have a little bit on the left corner of my tanks that's rocks =-)

Thanks, they truly are a beautiful fish. It's adds a nice touch to any tank. I almost missed them when I was at the LFS. After I left my buddy called and said to get my ass to the LFS because they had what I was looking for. I can't believe I missed them when I was there earlier.

I'm getting in 5 of these guys on Friday =-) Differen't species ???
