Right, now for some advice.
(stunners by the way)
They prefer a sinking food, so a good quality catfish pellet (or specialist sinking cichlid pellet ideally) is a must. Mine seem to enjoy a smaller pellet.
They also enjoy being in large groups (6+) otherwise their a little shy. Grow to about 12", so they generally need quite a big tank.
They prefer a sand or mud bottom, which they will spend most of their day sifting through for tiny bits of food
In the winter, its advised (as with all geos) that you slowly lower the tank temp (about 70 should do it), and slowly raise it in the spring. It helps keep their immune system healthy, and stops them "burning out" after a few years. Will most likely benefit your severums too (but it will probably cause them ALL to spawn, so that'll be fun eh?
)
Delayed mouth brooders, with the female holding the eggs and fry.
Pretty much Gentle giants, with a bit of "in fighting" whilst in groups. Dominant males grow the trailing fins and get a slight hump.
So there ya go. Pretty much all i know on the subject. I wager you'll be off to hunt down some more at the weekend eh?
