g'day steve, i'd say that they are rio pindare....someone has flooded the market in sydney with em.....that other guy was right ,mate they are addictive ive got 8 different kinds and they all vary slightly from each other....mate, look after them, 'coz with the drought in the amazon the way it is....we may be sending them back to re populate the place.....check out a book called "south american eartheaters" its the bible on these blokes . they look thier best in schools of about 8 - 10. they never fight and they never ever attack other fish.... they grow up to about 10inches with the altifrons getting to almost twice that size...i've just ordered another 8x2x2 to house about 60 of them... mate get into em ...you'll love em....and merry christmas from wollongong
