Just picked up a trio of these little ones today, not even an inch long. Just wondering if someone could ID them, if I need to take better pics say so....

Could be.......they look different though, I need to get better pics......their pectoral and anal fins are gold/yellow.........I'm leaning more towards surinamensis just because they look more like them.......I could be wrong.......Maybe only time will tell........

They look similar to these kinda........http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Cichli1344.jpg

They look like G. surinamensis to me. When I got mine they looked like that. Now they are huge. Their fins turn orangy-yellow and their bodies turn greenish blue. I could be wrong though. Dont they all look pretty much the same when they are small? Great looking fish! Nice pick-up too!

Thanks for the info....i think they are surinamensis too.........I think I might go back and get a couple more since they were so cheap cuz I want a school of them in my big tank.......

They are way too young and way too stressed to ID. Get them in a display tank and grown up a little bit and then take some pics with decent lighting.

By the way, most of the unidentified Geos that come in are altifrons. Until you have some decent pics that say otherwise that's what I am going with.
