Geophagus info

If they are labeled Geophagus surinamensis, they are most likely G. altifrons and are a large-growing fish. They're beautiful but a group would probably require a tank upgrade at some point.

Ok good to know, I don't even think they were labeled anymore than geophagus, so I have no clue what they were.

Alright I'm gonna make sure I get sand if I do get some! I'm checking out the Lfs on Wednesday.
 
So they were labeled as sur. geos and I assume this means that they are surinamensis, I'm assuming these get too big for my tank and now I'm bummed out because I really liked them :(
