If the Satanoperca in your avatar and photo album are the fish in question, they are Satanoperca leucosticta, and I have bred that species.Loves severums said:Has anyone bred Satanoperca jurupari?

Darker coloration, increased aggression associated with a specific object like a smooth rock, cleaning off rocks or smooth surfaces, collecting driftwood fragments and loose leaves. Their vents don't swell much until right before the spawn. They will flare and tail-whip at one another, but that is also common between same sex, so might not be a good indicator. Males sometimes nudge the side/vent area of females with their snout. In larger groups, increased aggression/territorial behavior between females is a good indicator that one or more is ready to breed. Their brood care is really interesting and entertaining, good luck!Loves severums said:what are some of the signs of them gettting ready to breed?
