Um, aren't there different red head geo's too? I'm not nearly as up on my geo's are amph and parachromis. But I have one I got a we bit back labeled Puerto Inredia *sp and i know some Steindachneri are labeled as Red Humps unlike the Red Head, Taps.

Could be just the collection point?

This is my second batch of Geo. Red Head Tapajos - first came from Dan and now this second from Jeff and thus far both look the same. Will take notice as this batch from Jeff grows and see if there are any differences from the first.

As far as I can research, the red hump is different from the red heads. The red heads are also often called orange heads, but are the same species. The red hump males get that large, obvious breeding hump (look like a large marble stuck under the surface of the skin) at full maturity, but females don't. Females of red humps and red heads look very similar (especially when young). Red head males don't develop a hump nearly as large or obvious as the red humps do. It's more like a slightly elevated forehead instead of a real hump.
