What do you guys use for reference when researching Geophagus and Gymnogeos? I have found little, and have checked out the Eartheaters book from the GCCA Library.
I am looking for information on:
Geophagus sp. Nieva (As well as if it is a Location Variant of the Steiny)
&
Gymno Paso Pasche.
I Have my pair of (Show Quality) Nieva in a 75 with Loaches (YoYo's, & Kubotai) (DE-Rail:Yes Sam, I AM going to see you after the 1st of the month for another 10 Yoyo's or so!) and Show Plecos,(L-104, L-114, L-168, L-187, L-264) and also have a group of Steineys, now I could switch their tanks, but Dang these Nieva are so GD good looking! I need to show off the Group of Steinys (12x) I got from BaldTaxGuy, currently they are in a 45 Breeder, but with not much exposure. I will not mix them. I also have my Gymnos (5x) in a 30 with 2 Gold Dojo's, and they are looking great, but want background on them.
NOTE: I am NOT looking to merge these fish, just think out loud if I can get info on the Nieva, as to size, I could move them to the 30, move the Group to the 75, and move the Gymno to the 45? I do not want to cramp these awesome looking Nieva, Plus he is really getting Humpage with all the room and not being hassled by anything but the occasional loach irritation....
And as for the Gymnos, I have had them for almost a year now, (I can just hear Mikey.G spitting his Starbucks out "He's kept a fish for longer then 2 months!!!") and they are waaay cool, just want some background!
