I've seen a couple that were at 9", but they were at a shop which obtained them from a public aquarium(Shedd).

I can't remember exactly how much, maybe about $25 per fish. There fry has paid for them almost 10 times over in the past 2-3 years.

Whoa I didnt think they got that big. A 75g should be able to house them for life tho, right? Actually could I fit 2 beeding pairs in the 75g or is that kind of pushing it?

Is it true that they grow realllllllyyyyyyyy slow? Or is that just a rumor?

those are some beauties. I have been looking for some too, but most stores here haven't ever heard of geophagus

I know that Beverlys Pet Center has a few, its in Pembroke Pines. I know they have Brasilini(Sp) and Jurupari(sp?). I know they had both today because my friend at the store called me.

I also have been told by another member on here that Bennys Tropical Fish, in Pembroke Pines also(4 minutes away from Beverlys), is getting in some Red Head Tapajos in by Tuesday. Just letting you know.:)

thanks man, a little far from me, but worth going to
