I have been looking at these species for a while now and I am looking at getting some. For all of you Geo fans what are the most colorful and best looking one to get. I want to start breeding them so I am looking for something that is not very common. They will be going in a 75 gallon with my other CA/SA cichlids.

I like Geos, but I didn't feel I had enough space for them, so I keep gymnogeophagus species, like the Blue Neon and Meridionalis.

Winnemilleri and pindare stay smaller I think and arent common. Red Head Tapajos would be the best bet if its not an aggressive tank though based on size, temperament and availability.
The tapajos are really nice. I have some abalios which are similar and also pretty nice looking. I also have some Gymno. labiatus "Rio Olimar". They are still growing out and haven't fully colored up yet, but adult males are gorgeous

Hey man. I am a big fan of Geo. Surinamensis but unfortunately they are very difficult to find locally. It is not easy to get any species from the Suriname period. But it seems to often be mistaken with the Geo. Altifrons which is a beautiful species of geo and much easier to find locally or online. The problem with picking out Geo species is that there are so many different types that they often get confused with one another. Some species also appear to be very similar to others. I am starting to become a geo enthusiast and in addition to my pair of altifrons, I have just picked up two species which I have yet to identify.
