Geophagus Tapajos Orange Head breeding behavior?

Good job, glad they did the deed for ya bud. Hope I get some of those fry, you plan on rearing them to help spread throughout the hobby or do you have the time for it?

Side note on getting geo's to spawn in the future - large (80%+) water changes with water that's around 5 degree's cooler will trigger their spawning behavior. They prefer river rocks over driftwood, although the tannins in the driftwood may help to soften the eggs and get them fertilized (I'm unsure if gH has an effect on how fast the eggs harden, as in discus).

Mine showed the best color in 84-86 degree's before the heater malfunctioned and killed em' all. Hit up EdBurress too, he's a walking SA atlas that specializes in geo's.

almost 48hrs later..

I thought they had picked up their eggs already but i took a closer look and the eggs are almost transparent!
