I was reading in the forum section and most people say they are. I'm not sure though cause this is my 1st time with SA cichlids.....:grinno:
 
There's no such thing as a "red head" Tapajos, just the orange. There is a red-hump earth eater (G. steindachneri). For some reason, many people call the Orange heads Red heads for some reason.


FWIW, I'll have some for sale in Connecticut shortly.
 
never seen those b4 man , but now that my 135 is back up and running i may consider some . good taste .

Sorry buddy, but with a common name you cannot be so particular. Red, Orange, there is no difference. And looking at the adult fish I can see why many people would call them Red-heads, as the Orange is quite intense. They are also commonly called "Peach-Face", for obvious reason.

They ARE beautiful fish whatever you call them.

For anyone in Ontario Canada that wants them, PM me, there are still a dozen available here at the shop.
