Got a group of 6 wild ones from Ken about a month ago. They eat like pigs and really put on some weight...maybe it's time to diet :D

A month ago - day one in the tank:

Wow, they look awesome. And even fatter than mine!

Funny, I have a giant danio in their tank with them too.

I noticed some of yours are getting trailers already too. I have found that my most colorful dominant males don't have any trailers at all, but some of the less colorful ones do. It's weird.

Now I want to go take some pictures of mine.

Here are mine. Group shot with some adult rainbows for scale, then the two dominant males, who oddly enough seem to be friends and hang out in the same territory. They chase everyone else away but never bother each other. They're both showing better color than my adults. Once I figure out which of the others are females I'm going to put them in the main tank.

Very nice Peter and Dave!!!

Very nice fish you have there, and I love the look of your tank. It's very natural looking.

Thanks guys!

They are just starting to develop "trailers". I saw some adult one this afternoon that were about twice the size of mine. Man aren't they beautiful...I'm more motivated now :)

I'm curious - how do you know your dominant ones are males?
