How do you tell between satanoperca jurupari and satanoperca leucosticta?

this might help... the jurupari is just less spectacularly colored on its face. The most noticeable characteristic.

First pic is luec... second pic is jurupari.

Both are satanoperca, being cousins of apistogramma and taeniacara, geos being in their own group with the mikrogeophagus.
Juveniles can be deceiving... until sexual maturity, leucosticta retain the same color patterning as jurupari, but after about 5-6" the lines dissolve and are replaced with the dichromatic spangles.
