German Blue Ram in a planted tank with....?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd still move them sooner. They'll grow faster. Get 3 more tetra's, 2 more Zebra danios. DON't move the WHite clouds and keep the temp at 76 and bump it up to 78-80 in the bowfront. ANd the BGK will need a bigger tank eventually too. I love those guys... but I don't have a 100+ gallon tank for one.

Yet they won't grow if the tank is too small. I didn't mean it would make them grow faster but I meant that if the environment is wrong that they will not grow. That was a terrible way to put that. I meant that if you increase the size of the tank that they will grow easier because they won't be cramped. It's a healthier growing rate than say if you stuck a goldfish in a five gallon tank.

well for now all will stay in the ten since I am in college and two hours away from home and my parents would not want to care for the fish they seem to be doing well for now

he is 3.5" long i think he is ok for now...
3.5 inches? He's already outgrown that tank. He will become stunted in there...:thumbsdow But anyway back on topic. What do you guys think Apisto's or Rams? They're both sensitive so I'm unsure which one is going to be better. I can get 4 one male and three females to pair off from someone. They will be about 60 dollars including shipping. Or I can get two appisto's 30 dollars for the pair and then 60 for the shipping....
