german blue rams?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had 4 blue rams and they did great for a month. But then 2 of them got really fat so i thought they where going to spawn. But they kinda just got fat and died so i dont no what happened there. I havent had rams for a few months but i might try them again

I bought three Blue rams acouple of months ago and put them into a 15 gal. tank that was moderately planted and they seemed to do fine for a week. The two of them (one male one female) started chasing the third alot and had it pinned up in a corner. The outcast was moved to another tank, but other then that, i havent had any problems with my rams, and i didnt do anything all that special with the water either...

Oddball, you have had to post that a half a dozen times, lol.

They're not hard to keep if you do what Sinister was saying and adjust the water to them. . . also keep in mind that they naturally have a VERY short lifespan and the older they are the less inclined to adapt they are.

My water must be perfect for them because I have 3 blues and 4 or 5 bolivians together (with other types of fish) in a 55 and they've been great for months.

When my wife and get rams they seem to last for about 3 months then they up and die on us, for no apparent reason. I think we have finally decided that we are not ram people.
