That is why good breeders do several health and temperament tests, as well as get them a few titles, before breeding, they also make sure that the dog and dam's sires and dams were healthy generations back.
Not saying that a genetic problem won't pop up, but by getting one from a GOOD, REPUTABLE breeder, your chances are better to get a healthy dog.

GSDs are one of my favorite breeds. I also love Mals and some of the other Belgian Shepherds. Beautiful dogs everyone.

This is my first GSD, but she's far exceeded anything I could want in a dog. I've wanted a GSD since I was a kid.
Her name is Rodya, and she is two. Can anyone guess what classic novel/character her name is from?
