I had one a couple years ago when pedro got them in. Gorgeous piranha

What happened to it? Are these delicate and sensitive, and it died, or did you sell it?

I sold it when i cut down on my piranha collection........he was 6 inches in a 40 b

They arent sensitive.....the high price tag is due to rarity... before i got mine it was a good 5 years since they came in from brazil

Back in the day i got them from John EZ a group of 6 for $200 each. they were 5-6" I had them for couple of years in my 300g. I sold them before I took a break. If I ever go back to piranha it would be them. they can be shoal like pygo family.

I had a single specimen maybe 5 years ago in a 125gal, very active piranha when they are solitary, sort of active like the Elongatus. Had a great appetite and are very hardy. Personally the smallest tank I would put them in is a 75gal, but that's for a single fish. for multiple for a shoal I would do a 180gal, because they are vicious fin nippers and your specimen wont look as good as far as fins lol.
