I've got to jump in here in Mo's defense. He's been nothing but helpful to me over the past few months in regards to specific questions I've emailed him about cichlids. I've got nothing but good things to say.

Thanks. As to the other remarks, you are entitled to your opion..and vote...provided you are a member...and apparently not. And I wasn't aware that personal attacks were welcomed here.

You might want to step back and consider what the Admin of this foum think of me. Apparently enough to have MFK sponsor my upcoming talk at the Midwest Cichlid Association...for the second year in a row.

Li...thanks once again.

I'm not attacking you Mo, though I have seen that from you in the past. I find it amusing that your approach to a difference in opinion changes when you're looking for something.....
Politics are great.
I am taking my mod hat off and putting my realistic one on instead. I'm not going to deny that your knowledge is enough to leave me floored. I just totally disagree with your attitude and aggressiveness to "fresh" people in the hobby when they ask or do something that you don't agree with.

One thing that really sticks out in my mind is when someone mentioned that some fish that you had were common looking, and he asked what was so special about them. You replied with something along he lines of "These are special because I caught them myself in the wild, Junior"
All was well without the junior part. That just left a really bad taste in my mouth.
You don't have flex your proverbial aquatic muscle to make others realize that what you do is nothing short of awesome, but for some reason you show intolerance and do just that.

If you really want to help the hobby, you would be more considerate to those who are new to it (like I was a just a few years ago).

You might also want to consider that you welcomed feedback. Not all feedback is "good".

Stellar, Rally. Once again, not knowing Mo, I must agree with the statement Rally made. If you want people behind you, you've gotta be good to 'em.

May I also remind you (and everyone else whom may be concerned) that we all started out knowing zip.

agreed

Also, Mo, might as well start here... Why should I vote for you? Hit me with what you got.

Thanks for the reply. I would love to see a link to the post you mentioned.

I receive dozens of e-mails every week with people new to the hobby...and I pride myself in returning every one with an answer. I am considerate of those who are considerate in return. But you are correct...feedback is feedback. There are lots of good people in the club...and the club does a lot of good. You should put personal feelings aside and join.

So what if I'm not a member. I could very well become one and make many political moves to make people see how you treat some people. If I didn't cause any trouble I could at least make people question it.

Personal attacks aren't welcomed here but when you leave a reputation traveling behind you it catches up eventually. You can't seriously think you can make some guy(or apparently lots of guys/gals) who asked serious question at one time only to be mocked feel like an idiot. And then never hear from him again.

See I'm not a kiss-ass because you keep certain fish or fish that are hard to find or even because you know a person or two and I could care less what river/lake you fished in last week. Honestly that is just the side dish. And when your main course is to treat people like crap all that knowledge/accomplishment stuff falls to the wayside.

I know what the admin of this site thinks of you and apparently even on this forum you've made a real name for yourself. I would advise you to take a step back of your kings throne and realize that maybe this forum is sponsering the Midwest Cichlid Association, or hell even your information you keep and not your forum antics/attitude towards others..

It wasn't an email. It was a thread posted a year ago on this site pertaining to a wild caught convict of all things. So no email or being cordial involved.. just someone not having a sense of humor over a convict.. News Flash!! When someone says "What's the big deal?" to you posting a pic of a wild caught convict and they put a smiley behind it.. IT'S A JOKE...

But no.. "The big deal is I plucked this out of the lake myself, JUNIOR" Is your response..

Panties in a bunch cause Mo called someone junior over a convict a year ago? Whatever guys.

Mo has my vote. He realizes that the internet is the future of the ACA and can be in a position to really put that to use, which will help out all of us.
