yes a freak accident, but i bet that lawyer is happy as hell, i don't think any of these companies are at fault, it's the fault of the kid and the parents who decided to participate in the sports, injuries of all kinds happen in sports, thats the risk you take to play

Agreed one hundred percent...That toad lawyer doesn't give two spits about the poor kid,he just sees the crazy dollar signs.

I am 33 and we used metal bats in T ball, Little league, Babe Ruth leagues etc, and others used them before me. Metal bats have been around for a long time and just now they are saying they aren't safe? Truth is Wooden bats are stronger/more dangerous than hollow aluminum bats. They just gotta blame someone. I don't see how the bat manufacturer is liable. The bats are safe, you can't predict a that a line drive is gonna hit a kid and cause a heart attack. A wooden bat could have done the same. The fact the bat was metal has nothing to do with it. There are so many other variables as to why this accident happened.

Actually its been scientifically proven that balls will come off aluminum much faster then wood bats. Therefor increasing the chance that the player would have a fair chance to defend himself. Bats have changed alot in the last 10 years to make them safer. They dont have the same pop they had when you or i played and theyre trying to mimic the same sweet spots as a wood bat.
