I found a supplier that can get me in some 3" Tigs for about $80 a pop...wooooooot! :D:D!! So I am gonna be pickin up about 6 of them! hahaha. Any info would be most appreciated. Gonna raise them up in a 20gal for a few months before i move them on up to a 75. After that they are going to the 125, and finally the 300gal. Hopefully by then I will have a larger tank. I'm gonna have excess filtration on ALL the tankz they go in. Just wondering if there is anything special i should know? Thankz!

Tigs need high levels of dissolved oxygen in the tank and they also appreciate a strong current. Try using a powerhead and keep us updated !

K, I was gonna put a Filstar XPI on the 20gal...its rated for a 45 or so gal. tank so that should make the current, I already have an airstone in there as well, so that should add to the dissolved O. temp? I normally keep my tankz about 82 or so..that too warm for them? I know the higher the temp the less dissolved O...but it also means less disease.

82 should be fine. Sounds like youre all set. Great started food would be
blackworms then wean them off to chopped up shrimp.

The supplier I am gettin them from is keepin them for two weeks and gettin them onto Mysis, bloodworms, cocktail shrimp, and beefheart. I think that should make things easier for me. Said he won't ship them till they are eating that stuff good! Woot! Just gotta get that filter for the tank and it'll be all good. Still got about 3 to 4 weeks before they are able to sent to me...but the thought is what counts! :D Exicted am i!

Nope!! As far as I know the tigs are slow growers...;)...and my pikes will be large enough to not get eaten for a while. I may just have to set up a large dat/cat tank though...;)

Actually, I think pikes and tigs would look great together. Although I think you would still need something else that would stay more towards the top of the tank...
