GETTING 4" Rhom (Advice please)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How come the less well protected Plec can survive then? I've seen these often used in the same tank as a Rhom.

It's really a hit or miss, it all comes down to the personality of the fish. Some people have luck with keeping plecos or catfish with rhoms others do not. I had (key word had) a striped raphael catfish, and a pleco with my 4" rhom, they lasted around a week.

I'll give it a go and if I start to notice damage I'll remove them... They tend to hide 90% of the time and never move only emerging for food or at night time.

Here's the first pics of the Rhom.... Only cost me £5.00 aswell - not bad for a fish worth over £40.00 (so I'm informed).

Incidentally, he's just eaten a Cichlid fry and has settled in pretty well. :)

Cheers... How fast do these grow by the way?
