So my 125 has been looking a little small these days. (Thanks in no small part to MFK and all of you). Well I came across a deal I just couldn't pass up........300 gallons for 350! I don't wanna do the whole Aro/Dat/Cichla thing that's just been done to death already. So what's the next best thing? For me it's a toss up between a Monster SA/CA or a monster Frontosa colony. My 125 is already an African tank The dimensions are 96"x24"x30". I already have a 10" Midas, a 5" male Festae and a 6" wc female festae arriving today. I would actually like to have a nice selection of male fish to breed with my female Kamalau FH. So if this were your tank what would you stock. I have a few thoughts as to what I want, and I'll share those after I hear from some of you!

Thanks.

Probably going to add a TSNxRTC and maybe a couple of other big cats, you think a gluper would do ok? Those things are COOL!

The hybrid would be cool and so would a gulpter, but make sure everything is bigger than it. There's that thread on MFK somewhere where a small gulper ate that 8" aro...

Yep, keeping the 125 for my Africans, my g/f said they have to stay, they're pretty LOL.

It just seems like everyone here that has a tank larger than say 240 gallons, has pbass aros and dats, not that they're not kickazz fish, cause they certainly are. Like I said I'm not big on aros, at least not the ones we can get in the states (I'd LOVE to have a red aro) I will have a few pbass in there, I've always loved those fish, even before I started keeping fish, I used to catch them down at my grandfathers place in FL and have always been facsinated with them. In fact a friend of mine and I are planning a monster pbass fishing trip on the Amazon for next year! I like SA/CA's for their size, look and attitude. And the plus side is if I do this I'll have a stable of male fish to pluck out and put in with my FH to produce some cool new varieties of flowerhorns ;)

Ya Pretty, thats why my monster tanks are all in the basement while the only tank on display is my 90 gallon reef Tank. It is also "pretty" although everyone who comes over loves to come downstairs and feed the fish. Women!!!

Yea, my 125 is in my living room, all my other tanks, including the upcoming 300 are in the basement. I was going to sell all my Africans and just have a pair of Festae in there but my "better" half nixed that idea :(

She said that the only reason she let's me have that big tank in the living room is because of the beautiful colorful fish :-/

The tank is freaking heavy, it's 5/8" glass...

I can imagine, my 7x2x2 is about that thick. The movers brought it in, but my stand wasnt ready, so when the time came i had to find a way to get it up there myself..lol. Im still hurting from it.
