GETTING A EARLY START!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Two different ways to plug the holes.
1. pieces of glass siliconed over then
2. bulkhead fittings with caps screwed into them

Under gravel jet systems use a pump to push the water across the bottom of the substrate and kick up debris. These are generally powered by your standard pump or they are powered by an additional pump.

Ok i dont think I like the idea of gravel being pushed around all day. So it seems as Im going to cover them. Ive seen the plugs that u have to screw a cap into but wont it stick up. So please explain more about covering them up.

Once again thanks!!!

They may stick up a bit, but your gravel should cover it.

The UGJ do not blow the gravel, they just blow the debris off of the gravel and into the filter intakes.

OH ok, ill probaly try that first(bulk heads) and if i feel like its going to stick up to much then ill try the glass thing.

The UGJ sounds great but with all the debri in the water being pushed around all day, it will take away from the crispyness right?

Do NOT ditch the P.skimmer it is an essential part of the filtration system. It removes so much stuff you can not believe it! Keep it expecialy on the larger tanks.
