Getting a new clawed frog(volcano clawed frog!)

Hey all, I will be getting a new clawed frog. I have 3 right now(xenopus laevis) and many tadpoles. The new one will be Xenopus amieti, which is just a different species of xenopus. I hear it's a smaller frog than it's cousin, about the size of a quarter. He is pretty rare and comes from cameroon. He is endangered in their homeland, but don't worry these are lab bred specimens.

I hear they call them volcano clawed frogs, don't know why, we shall see though. The frog is $50 plus shipping, I'm getting a female.:D:D I'm really psyced about getting her. She will go in a 20 long with a fancy schmany blue painted background, lol. With some black PVC for hiding and just some random gravel. Can't wait, I will post pics of tank and her when I get her!!!!:grinno::grinno:
 
wow sounds awesome i want one so bad but i dun have an open tank :(

I would but their 50 bucks so it would be 100 plus shipping, which I could afford, but then I'll be hating myself in the end of the month when all bills are due.

Plus the female can get used to her new home and I can see how she reacts and see if anything is diff from the normal laevis clawed frogs. I do want to get a male though, these frogs are really addicting.

I don't think their hugely diff from laevis, just smaller and maybe a diff pattern, but who knows I can't find any pics of them on the web. Can't wait though!

Now what I really want is this.Surinam toad, pipa pipa.

The females have the eggs on their back the whole time. They grow as tadpoles in their back and emerge after a while as full frogs, just tiny of course. Pretty weird, but I WANT ONE! lol:)
 
Here's her setup. Not going to lie, I love it! Would have looked nice with black or white pebbles but still that's just aesthetic.
