yeah i know i was pretty disappointed but they are definitely on my list if i set-up another tank (which will eventually happen lol) but yeah for now im happy with my sailfin and am content with growing him nice and big

As for a diet for your future goldy, anything meaty is great.
Judging by your list of fish in your signature you probably won't have to
add anything to his diet that your current fish wouldn't also enjoy eating.
Mine eats the same as I feed my dats, bichirs, and catfish which is shrimp,
tilapia, massivore, and all I add for him is the occasional algea waffer
which my prochilodus also enjoys. They will appreciate the meatier shrimp
and bigger pellets over the usuall smaller shrimp pellets cause it gives
them something to knaw and rub their teeth on. I have tried cucumber
and zucchini but he never touched it so I gave up.
Allan and Jon(zerojquan85) are great with plecos, so in the future if you
have any problems or questions I'm sure they won't mind if you message
them

cool thanks for the tips vaine, i will def keep that in mind though its definitely going to still be awhile before im able to get one (need to be in a more permanent house before i set up another large tank lol)
