I have a columbian zebra pleco that has never seemed to move from a spot on a piece of driftwood. I would like to change the tanks its in but can't because this little spot also happens to be almost a little cave that i think it ate a hole into itself (idk its under the driftwood) I can't move the drifftwood to the other tank as the anubias planted on the driftwood is WHY i want to move the pleco so how can I ge tit off?

Ur zebra probably likes and needs the driftwood as a home.. i wouldnt take it away from him...

Instead invest in another driftwood and let it chill in that one instead.. (If you must remove the current wood you have). Columbian zebra from my experience need driftwood as a part of its diet.. so there might be a reason why its there..

There's no other way around it really.. so thats the best course of action..

If its lodged itself in the wood, hold the wood out of the tank and it should eventually let go.

most plecs need wood, hes prolly a really happy lil guy if he never leaves his spot...
and like ^^^^ said , if u do remove it u have to replacve it with another piece of wood,
the plec eats the wood along with a bacteria on the wood that is essential for its digestive system to break it down..

Set up your bogwood so it doesn't obstruct you from seeing your pleco but at the same time will make it feel secure. Plecos hide thats what they do but you can also see them and trick them in to feeling secure also. Take out all your wood and you will see that plec huddle in a corner and never move. Piont is they need cover as they are not a schooling fish such as a barb or free swimmer such as a goldfish. The later two fish need no wood at all.
