Getting a Rhom, is a 40 gal completely out of the question?

yeah i guess since they dont move much it doesnt really matter. Btw, does anyone know anything about Hujeta Gars? I have heard they are extreemely compatible with lots of other fish, some say as far as to consider them community tank compatible.. any knowledge on this?

No that is not true. Rhoms need as much space as possible. My rhom uses every inch of his tank. The more space you can provide, the better for health, temperment and growth.

The gars, I don't know if you mean, is that off subject or can you house a gar with a rhom? To that the answer would be no way. Especially in a 40. You would need a very large tank to accomplish that one.
