Getting an rtc :)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks good!! I'd install a couple powerheads around the pond for current, especially near the rockpile - you will be surprised at how much junk can get trapped in the rocks. What kind of filter will you have for it? I recommend getting a 55g barrel and making it into a filter.

ya how ya gonna filter that? i suggest a 55 barrell filled with biomedia, with a layer or 2 of carbon and foam. with a few nice powerheads around the thing for current. that pond should last him a few years from what i hear, you should pm diskboy12 he knows his rtc.

That rockpile is actually disguising a big pump lol, it is 350 gph. It runs a nice sized bog filter, which leads to a waterfall. lol I think rtcs get way to big and it wouldn't have enough depth to get enough power to get a big enough jump to get out of the pond

It doesn't take much for a fish to jump, trust me.

Definitely upgrade to at least 800 to 1000gph, it's recommended that your turnover is at least 2x the size of the pond. If your not heating it definitely get a channel, they can take the cold weather and have personality too.
