It's been about 7 years since I last had any sort of tank. Now with a 4 year old, I am trying to get her introduced to the hobby. She wanted the "pretty fish" and rainbow rock. Welcome home the 10 gallon betta tank (mini monster). We don't have much around here for pet stores other then big box.

What is a reputable place for plants? Looking for stuff like dwarf water lettuce, wisteria, sprite, etc?

I've come from reef and African cichlid tanks so planted is a new world for me.

I live 5 minutes away from the store.
This tank started with 9 plants

Good to know. I do have a Petsmart, but remember back in the day it was BOGO, you know buy a fish get ick free.
Really depends on the individual store. The petsmart/petcos by me aren’t too bad for fw, but for marine fish I’d have better luck buying them already filleted.
The plants are usually sold as the tissue cultured ones that probably have never seen a fish tank.
