Getting black arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Black arowanas are not hard to raise but If you are getting small ones then expect some problems. Get ones about 12" and raise them together and you will have no problems. Don't expect to raise multiple black arowanas in a 55 gallon for any period of time as it's too small and will just stress them out. Bigger tank, bigger aros, better luck!!

If people would do research, ask questions before buying and then follow advice. There wouldn't be such a large percentage of baby black aro failures.

It became worst. He's almost dead. Darn it! Too late to separate him. :( It all started when the bully try to go after him even I'm not feeding them, I should've listen to my instinct to separate him, but I didn't.

I think he's not gonna make it. I guess I'll just move on. Lol

Well at least it's good that you can find humor in this. :duh:

There is only one part of this I feel needs to be changed. Needs to be "baby aro" not solely "baby black aro"

Hey guys,

Just wondering how many days and nights can a baby black aro survives?

We have a trip that's coming and we are gonna be 2 nights and 3 days away, will he survive?

Any tips guys?

They need to be fed at least once per day. They will not make it. Get someone else to feed them.
