A little update: my pair of azuls are doing great. I think the pool cycled for 2 days before they arrived. I bought a 1250gph pond filter and two pressurized filters one with a uv clarifier on it, I have 2 tropical lily pads in the pond to give them a little shelter and safe feeling. I think i will be adding another 1250 gph system like the one previously stated because the large plecos like to dig in the pots the lilys are planted in and throw dirt around making the water cloudy at times. I will also be building a custom sump/waterfall for more filtration and polishing. In building a 4' sump i will be able to take the heaters out of the pool providing more room for my stingray. Its a great little setup, 1 mated pair of rare oscars, 1 pair of azuls, 2 red oscars just because, 1 Florida Gar, 4 large generic plecos, and 1 18" wild peru flower ray. A little slice of heaven.
