So i'm getting married in about a month in Mexico and have no one to feed my fish. All my family and closest friends are going so everyone i trust is unavailable to come feed them. I have some rare fish and hope they will survive.

300g tank- (4)~ 13" Arowanas - diet mainly raw shrimp
120g tank- (5)~ 3" Beani
120g tank- (20)~1" Umbees and istlanums
50g breeder- haitiensis pair (3")
150g tank- 14" dovii and (2) catfish

Are you asking a question?

The arowanas and dovii would be fine for several weeks with no food. The smaller fish could use a cheap auto-feeder to feed them once a day. I don't see what the issue is?

I was just on vacation for a week & my 20 tanks at home were not fed at all. I fed them good before I left. (you could buy a car with what I have in fish here)
Plus I was in Australia for about 3 weeks, fish were fed 5 times & did not lose any.
Cheap decent feeder PennPlax or a good one is Eheim.

Baby fish need to be fed at least daily. Adult fish go 3 weeks with out eating with no major worries.

If no one is going to be there to feed them, then no one will be there to change the water either. You don't want them to be fed if the water can't be changed.

If you have babies... they need to be fed, get an automatic feeder... do a 90% water change before you leave and hope they live.

All adults, do an 80% water change before you live, feed them and go get hitched. Enjoy the celebration. your fish will be fine. If you have any type of a house sitter that can come keep an eye on the filters (but not feed the fish) that would be good peace of mind.

I was gone for 3 weeks in June. I arranged to have my guppy tank fed because of the babies. I hid all remaining fish food. My house sitter found 1 plugged filter intake that would have resulted in a dead tank when I returned had she not cleared it for me. I was amazed at how much the water quality had degraded in 3 weeks with out food. I had nitrates up over 80ppm in every tank in the house (typically maintained at 10-15ppm) and that was with no food. I fear for how high they would have been with food. It took 3 weeks of 3x a week 50% water changes to get them back down again.

I was mainly worried about my larger fish because they don't eat pellets. But if "the Modest Man" thinks its "common knowledge" not to feed a fish for a week i apologize for not knowing that and for posting a thread, isn't that the purpose of this site ??? I've noticed some people are getting very snappy with their responses which is only going to hurt this great community forum. I will try not to forget a question mark next time. Anyways, i appreciate the advice!

get a auto fish feeder so that your fish will be fed when your gone. :D
